The Northern Irish Conservatives, A Party Constitution, Leadership Elections
Since it was created in 1994, The Campaign for Conservative Democracy has fought hard for reform in the Conservative Party.
Since then significant strides have been made within the Party, here are some of the major reforms The Campaign for Conservative Democracy has achieved:
The Conservative Party now stands candidates in Northern Ireland.
The Conservative Party now has a constitution and is governed by a Party Board.
The Conservative Party now grants its members a limited say in the election of the Party Leader.
While these changes are welcome there is still a long way to go before the Conservative Party is genuinely democratic.
